Felicidades on your graduation, Clase del 2026! Latinx Congratulatory is a bilingual ceremony that celebrates Latinx graduates earning their Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degrees.
This year's ceremony will take place on Friday, May 15th at 7PM at the State Farm Center. Cost to participate in the ceremony is an all-inclusive $85 that includes your stole, 2 flags of choice, graduation gift, celebratory events, and more! In-Person Registration will open during our 100 Days 'Til Latinx Congratulatory Celebration Event on Wednesday, February 4th from 4-6PM at La Casa. The link to register will be posted widely following the '100 Days' event, you do not have to attend the event to register for the ceremony!

This year, graduates are NOT required to attend Congratulatory Rehearsal. Rather, a video will be sent out following the rehearsal with detailed instructions on what to expect on the big day! Student speakers, faculty, staff, and volunteers who will participate in Latinx Congratulatory will be contacted with additional information! Rehearsal Attendees must enter on the East Side of the Building: side that faces Fourth Street.

Registration
Online Registration opened on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026!
Registration is available for the first 550 Latinx Congratulatory Participants who complete both registration and payment of $85, or by April 1st, 2026 at Noon, whichever comes first. Your spot is not secured without payment.
December 2025/2026 Graduates are welcome to participate in the May 2026 Latinx Congratulatory Ceremony! Please email scardoza@Illinois.edu if you are a December 2025 Graduate to learn more, discuss your options, and select your stole preference (Clase de 2025 o Clase de 2026).
More Important Information
Accessibility Entrances at the State Farm Center
There is accessible parking located in all four of the lots. All of the entrances are accessible.
The circle drives located on both the west and east side of the building are available for drop-off and pick-up. Once you, or your party arrives, you just need to notify somebody from the security or event staff, and they will get in contact with the EMS team.
There are a limited number of wheelchairs on site. They cannot be loaned for the duration of the event, but the staff can assist in getting guests from the entrances to an accessible seat and then back to the exit after the event is over.
Clear Bag Policy
People attending events at State Farm Center will be permitted to carry one clear plastic or vinyl bag that does not exceed 12”x6”x12”, or one clear drawstring bag not to exceed 12”x12”, or one, one-gallon clear plastic or zip-lock bag. A small clutch no larger than 4.5” x 7” may also be carried in addition to one clear bag. Diaper bags (with child) and bags approved for medical needs will be permitted after search by security personnel. Please refer to SFC's website for more information about their bag policy.
Regalia
Your cap and gown are NOT included in the Latinx Congratulatory fee. Learn more about how to order your commencement regalia. Your cap and gown are ordered through Herff Jones Cap & Gown Company and require an additional payment. Purchasing or renting your cap & gown through Herff Jones is open!
Be sure to pay attention to important dates & deadlines for ordering your cap & gown:
January 5 (Monday)
•Student cap and gown online ordering is activated (herff.ly/illinois)
•Students will pay for rental when they place their orders
•Regalia shipped directly to students at address provided (within the U.S.)
April 13 (Monday)
•Last day for students to order regalia at the early discounted rate. Early Order Student website no longer active after 10:59pm Central Time. (Shipping is $15.95 for orders placed by this date.)
April 14 (Tuesday) thru April 28 (Tuesday)
•Regular pricing student website activated
•Student regalia ordered between April 14 and April 28 will ship 2nd Day Air to ensure delivery. (Shipping is $24.95 for orders placed during this timeframe.)
April 28 (Tuesday)
•Student order website no longer active after 10:59pm Central Time
•Last day for students to cancel orders by contacting Patty Storie at 314-369-6668 or pattystorie@att.net
Student Ordering Information
•The student order website will convert from early discounted pricing to regular pricing at 10:59pm Central Time on April 13. Regular pricing will be available online April 14 - 28
•Students who did not order prior to the deadline must go to the Herff Jones booth at Memorial Stadium, East Side. There is no guarantee that regalia will be available, but Herff Jones makes every effort to assist. Please do not call the Commencement Office regarding missed order deadlines; simply direct students to Memorial Stadium East Side or students may contact Patty Storie at 314-369-6668 or pattystorie@att.net. Gowns available on for late order pick-up are limited, students and faculty are encouraged contact Patty prior to arriving at Memorial Stadium.
